Foundation Analysis

From 40 story high-rises to single-family residential structures, R.M.G’s professional staff utilizes their extensive experience to fully evaluate structure load and soil conditions. Whether it be for a shallow footing system or a deep pile or pier foundation, we provide our clients with a thorough foundation analysis and comprehensive recommendations. Our experience includes a wide range of foundation systems including piles, raft or mats and concrete piers.

Forensic Analysis

R.M.G’s extensive experience enables us to conduct comprehensive forensic analyses and evaluations for existing developments and structures exhibiting problems such as foundation failure because of collapsible, settlement or expansion of soils or fills. This is in addition to concrete structural testing and evaluation for modifications or repurposing buildings.

Structural Steel

Structural steel is inspected and tested by R.M.G’s qualified inspectors to ascertain that all steel connections meet the acceptable criteria specified. This is achieved by visual, mechanical, nondestructive, or destructive methods. Tests are performed in accordance AWS (American Welding Society), AISC (American Institute of Steel Construction) and ASTM (American Society for Testing Materials) codes and Iraqi standard specifications.

  •  Bolts and Nuts Inspections

    Bolt and nut sizes are verified, torque test and connections are inspected in accordance with the project specifications and Iraqi standard specifications.

  • Welding Inspection

    Welder certifications are verified and visual welding inspection is performed on field welds.

Non-Destructive Testing

    Ultrasonic method of determining concrete strength.

  • Swedish Hammer Test

    To determine rebound numbers and concrete strength.

  • Welding Inspection

    Visual inspection of welds to insure quality of welding.

  • Dynamic Cone Penetration Test

    Visual inspection of welds to insure quality of welding

  • Plate Load Test

     To determine bearing capacity of soil subgrade

  • Loading Test

    To insure the stability of designed and executed structure.

  • Endoscope

    To inspect pipe lines and other hard to reach locations in construction.
